Life is Good...Over all...

Yes...that fork I came back to and changed directions on looks like a beautiful sunrise ahead...

...I do have the position I came up and applied for here in Oregon .(okay...there is the minor detail of pay plan...but I am not worried about that..this is a company with integrity) I feel very good with the way everything has progressed and with the people I have met!

In the meantime - Ron & I are enjoying some time together in the motor home (with the two dogs - of course!). We will be heading up to Salem so I can enjoy my first larger rally with nearly 500 rigs...all of them being from the Monaco manufactured family. (Many of you know how much Ron hates crowds - so this is a big sacrifice on his part - just so I can get the feel for one of these things!)

I can tell you that I am looking forward to getting back to work at what I love doing...but I could get very used to just lounging around in the coach and not really having to leave if I didn't want to!!

New Friends...Big Plans!

I have found a new circle of friends in the past 10 months. It has generated from the IRV2 board. My blog name comes from the Manufacturer of our motor home, Monaco . You will find a forum named Monaco Owner's Forum in the forum section of the IRV2 board. You will also find some wonderful people amongst this section. These people come from all walks of life and from all parts of the continent. but they have at least a couple things in common ... one is the love of RV travel and the other is that we all own a product by this manufacturer.

You will find that Ronboc (who is the moderator of this forum) can take a pratical joke - as well as give it back (I will never forget when DigNBubbs (who has his own blog) & I went off-topic. Ronboc said something - so we deleted our posts so it looked like Ronboc was goofy!)...which brings me to DigNBubbs. He felt so bad for Ronboc - that he told on me -(Ok...I did come up wth the idea - but he agreed!) We also have RonNBama -who has his own fanclub without even knowing it!(People ask if I have met you in person... ah-hello...What's wrong with me...am I chopped liver?!!) Bsavage travels all over with her fiance going to AHRMA Vintage Trials . There is Teofff who has recently joined the group ..who at this very moment is wondering "Why me, Lord". Robin_M who lives in the NE and the first owner besides us who at least acknowledged he had a full wall slide. BCSteve came up from Southern Ca.to trade in his old RV for the new one at DeMartini RV and met a few people that had just left the Spring Escapade in the Stockton area on his way home. . Gonefishin is one of the few who is close to retiring. Roland, Diplomat Don, Loranimal, Flyer, Letsgoagain, Gordon, Crudeman, McDDY, MCPO Ret, Nutensteve and so many other members are always contributing to the Monaco forum. They are always willing to come in and answer someone's problem, share how they modified something or to laugh with each other.

I have chatted with many, talked with some, had dinner with a few and spent the weekend with a couple...but I have enjoyed or learned from it - no matter what! Because of these reasons...some of us think that it is time to plan an "IRV2 Monaco Owners Forum" rally. I think it would be great if we could all meet sometime in the future. Can you imagine actually seeing the modifications everyone has done...in person! (we can all see if Robin_M 's storage area is as neat as they look...) The food, the laughter, the journey of just getting there would be a great experience. I am sure there are a few of us who can manage to meet somewhere. Who would like to meet...who can help plan...and the big one ....where should we meet? I will definitely help ... but I can't help without anyone showing some interest in going. Please post here if you might be interested...or you can email me privately.

IRV2.COM

Have you heard of IRV2.Com? I have found it to be very relaxing to visit this forum almost nightly. It is a great place to go if you enjoy camping of almost any type. You will find all sorts of information, from someone asking about how to fix something all the way to where is the best spot to camp (including Florence, Oregon…and that answer is a campground run by the Lane County Parks Dept!).

You may find lively discussions including but not limited to “flaming piles of poo”, “Rolling Potlucks” via the Internet, the best place to repair something, the best manufacturer (we all know it is whoever built our own RV!) and of course a little bit of politics.


The people here are quite a friendly bunch of people. Some are animal lovers while others dote on their grandchildren... and rightfully so! Most of us enjoy food, whether we are living vicariously through someone else’s menu or just plain talking about it! (Puppy, spouse & photo of Bruce H)

Some of the members will get together for a yearly IRV2 rally…and enjoy the activities and vendors that are there for all…and of course …the food!

You will find information for products people have installed…or want to install, not to mention where the best place might be to buy it (a good chance you might find it at RVupgrades.com ).

There will be people complaining or venting about problems they may have with their “home on the road” or raving about it.

... and then there is my "other family" down at the Monaco Owners Forum ...you will find many "Rons" down there with a few "Steves" tossed in for good measure. The group has a pretty dry and quick sense of humor that they don't mind sharing with you...so be aware of it and know anything said is said in jest. We enjoy life...and living it to the fullest - even through the tough times ...Thank you my fellow "Monaco Owner Forum" members for giving us all a few or so good laughs and some great RV tips and solutions!

There will be people rating and posting pictures of campgrounds -or telling you about road closures… …but whatever you find there…it will be from people who have good intentions and passion about what they have posted…. WELCOME TO IRV2 !!!
