Progress -

August 25th Update: The carpet in the 3 bedrooms are in. The toilet in the second bath is in along with the shower tiles-but they have not been grouted. Most of the wall tile in the master bath have been grouted and the shower head is installed. More to follow tomorrow.

August 24th Update: They have completed the tile pavers. (I can also report that they worked on the AC install-the electrical fixtures and switches have also been installed.)

The backsplash in kitchen is up but not grouted.

The plumbing hardware has been installed throughout the house.

August 18th Update: The stone on front was completed.

The master shower tile is being installed.

The kitchen counters are in...

...and my coyote survived!

August 17th Update: The tile has been grouted.

The roofing is now complete and the stone work on the front has been completed.

August 12 Update:  They have started setting the tile!

August 6 Update:  Cabinets have been installed!

August 5 Update:  We now have cabinets in the house....albeit they are in boxes!

August 4 Update:  We did get the doors hung and paint on the interior walls.  Rumor has it that cabinets are being dropped off tomorrow, bathroom tile to be started on Friday and exterior paint started by August 9th.

July 23 Update: So this week we have had many things happen- texture - doors and shelves in and hung, first coat of stucco on the outside...

The home has been a slow process-It has been pretty hectic so I apologize for the lack of updates.

I have updated the posts to show the most recent pics. We did find out that the cabinets are on back-order.

They have delivered sand for the stucco as of July 9.

Here is a photo of the taping that was  done on July 7, 2021.

...and they have now sheet rocked.  Next week should tape and mud...

They then put insulation in...

This next photos are from June. The outside now has the chicken wire that is put on before they stucco which will be done later.

You can see where they have pre-loaded the roof top with the roof tiles. This photo is from May 10, 2021.

Slow and Steady...

...isn't that the saying? We have found that you can't make it go any faster.

Countertop Slabs Chosen

Today we chose the Countertop Slabs. I am so glad we drove down to see them                                                                         because pictures would not have been the same as "in person".

We had to choose three slabs - there were a few flaws that you cannot see                                                                                    without being there...so now we can give the the proper feedback.

Here are the three slabs...

We both saw a wolf/coyote head in the middle section of the slab-                                                                                                 BUT that area is a rough patch that will possibly be a hard spot to keep clean.

The above slice is a mirror image of the first piece BUT it is the reverse image of the first cut.
The animal head in not really visible being upside down and opposite.

This is the last piece of the three...
BUT there is  natural crack that is about                                                                                     1/3 of the way down on the left upper side of the slab. There is a chance that area may                                                                      determine on what piece goes where.
