Lesser Goldfinches:
The Lesser Goldfinch is a small, seed-eating finch of the Southwest. It comes in two forms: a dark-backed one in Texas, and a greenish-backed one farther westward.
This is where you may find my ramblings and thoughts along with a diary of our road trips and the people we know or meet along the way.

I love gold finch. The gold finch is Iowa's state bird. They are one of the few birds that can eat hanging upside down. We would put an upside down feeder out every year because the house finches would harass the gold finches at our regular feeder. The fun part was watching other birds try to eat from it. Great photos.
Thank You, Janie! I guess I need to look for one of those feeders!
Have you also seen my bird blog? It has many different photos that I have taken... www.featheryfinds.blogspot.com
